Spadfest 2011 has a location and a date. It will be held in Slater MO June 10-12. I have been working on the daily schedule and will post as soon as it is finished.

Here is google map of the sight A. The light green at the end of Commerce dr. is the rc field, but all the runway could be used.

What goes on at a Spadfest?
Spadfest is a bunch of good ol boys coming together flying corrogated plastic airplanes, but more importantly, a group of guys having fun.

It will be a fun fly with events throughout. Class B combat, a Spad speed contest, a bobber drop contest, SSC combat, and a lot more things to do.

Hotels and Camping.

Comfort Inn Marshall

Most of the group like to camp at the flying sight. That is not a problem. Camping at the sight will be available with port-a-pottys, some water and some electric. Shower will be available at the Slater swimming pool after 7:00pm for $5.00 maybe less.

Food
Will be provided by the club for 7.00 dollars a plate. Breakfast lunch and Dinner for Friday and Saturday. A continental breakfast will be available Sunday morning. I would ask that you buy your meals from the club because without them this would have not been possible. Please let the Slater RC group know that we appreciate there help with this event.

Landing fee
Landing fee will be 10 a day for those who preregister for Friday and Saturday. 15 dollars a day at the field. I will have more info on how to register a little later

Preregistration
Total cost for two days of food plus Friday and Saturday landing fee is 62 dollars US.

WOO HOO DOODS!!!

SPADFEST AT SLATER AGAIN! TOO COOL!!

Weather will be better. Camping area will be dryer. Food will be as good, if not better. Showers will have hot water (I promise!). Support from the community and host club---pretty much the same. "HOOT" factor---off the scale.

I must admit Slater was a fantastic stop in the SF history. It would be pretty bad weather to be worse than last year but we still had a terrific time. I would like to reccomend extra long tent stakes for your pop up tents, and keep your tents sipped up or you might find a turtle in your sleeping bag "ask Eli about that". I glad you will have us back and looking forward to the best event of the year!

Looking forward to SF-11. Talked too Falcon on the phone and we both mentioned we had smiles on from ear to ear everytime we talk about SF past and SF future.

By the way Falcon....You loaded all my stuff but I failed to see where you said LOAD RIOND!!!!! I am coming with wether you like it or not. Battle buddies stick togeather.

I am planning on coming out for SF 11! the plan is for my son and I to drive out. with the both of us and the gear we would need would make flying and shipping everything out way to expensive. I cant wait! I had such a good time last year

I hope so, cuzz if you think you're going to be shutting the runway down every 15 minutes to fly your full scale your Sorely mistaken. So, to fly something you better shove some planes in the back of that slow mother.

I think I passed a 150 on my motorcycle.
